Christmas Festival of Lights at the Grotto


Come visit the Grotto’s Christmas Festival of Lights with your ACA family!

We will meet this Saturday, December 10th at 5:30pm at the ticket booth. 

Located at 8840 NE Skidmore Street, Portland, Oregon 97220 (Main entrance is located at NE 85th Avenue and Sandy Boulevard).

Presenting the sights, sounds and sensations of the season, The Grotto’s Christmas Festival of Lights is the largest Christmas choral festival in the world. The festival features nearly 160 indoor holiday concerts performed by many of the region’s finest school, church and civic choirs. Offering a family-oriented blend of traditional celebration and serene reflection, the festival theme reflects the special season of hope that Christmas offers to many thousands of families from around the Pacific Northwest.

Five indoor concerts are scheduled each evening in The Grotto’s 600-seat chapel, known for its cathedral quality acoustics. Continuous family entertainment in The Grotto’s plaza area includes outdoor caroling, puppet shows and live animals, including “Storm” the camel.

Holiday foods and beverages are also available, as is seasonal shopping, in The Grotto Gift Shop.

The Festival of Lights is a walk through event and visitors can expect to walk approximately one quarter mile. All entertainment areas are either indoors or fully tented but visitors should dress for the weather.

Attached is a presenter/workshop leader application if you’d like to be a presenter at the 2017 ACA World Convention to be held in San Diego, California, USA. If you would like to submit an application, please fill it out and send to by December 15, 2016. Presenters will be announced in January.

Outing to see the new Harry Potter movie

Join other ACAers in fellowship for a fun afternoon outing at the movies! Taken from the world of Harry Potter, this film is set 70 years before Harry arrives at Hogwarts. Check out the trailer and join us!

Tickets should be purchased individually. We’ll plan to meet at 2:15ish outside to gather and get seats. This viewing is for the non-IMAX, non-3D show – just the regular ‘ole movie!
